For the upcoming anime film "Kusunoki no Bannin", the official main visual as well as a first trailer have been released. In addition, three more members of the voice cast were announced.

The plot of the film, whose release is scheduled for January 30, 2026, is based on a novel by Keigo Higashino. It is the first anime adaptation of a work by this author. The story follows the young man Naoi Reito, who loses his job after an unjustified dismissal. Through his work as "Keeper of the Camphor Tree", he meets various people and begins to get to the bottom of the mysteries of this tree.

The newly announced voice actors and their roles are:

- Asuka Saito as Yumi Saji, a student who secretly visits the tree.
- Ryūya Miyase as Sōki Ōba, the son of a traditional confectionery maker.
- Takao Ōsawa as Toshiaki Saji, a regular at the tree with a family secret.

The character designs are by Tsubasa Yamaguchi, known for "Blue Period", with support from Akiko Itagaki.

It was also announced that Yūgo Kanno will compose the music for the film. The composer was already responsible for other adaptations of Higashino's works, such as the "Galileo" series. The soundtrack will be released on the day of the film premiere.
