The wraparound jacket band on Mai Mochizuki and Ichiha Akizuki's first Holmes at Kyoto Teramachi Sanjō manga volume announced on Monday that a TV anime adaptation of Mochizuki's original novel series has been confirmed. The anime will air this summer.

The series revolves around a "wicked" handsome Kyoto boy and a high school girl. The story is set in an antique shop in Kyoto's Teramachi Sanjō shopping district. The high school girl Aoi Mashiro unexpectedly meets Kiyotaka Yagashira, the shop owner's son, and ends up working part-time at the shop. Kiyotaka is called "Holmes at Teramachi Sanjō," and he and Aoi solve strange cases brought to them by various customers.

Mochizuki launched the original novel series in April 2015 with cover illustrations by Yamōchishizu and Futabasha. The novel won the 4th Kyoto Book Grand Prix in 2016. Akizuki launched the manga adaptation in December in Futabasha's monthly magazine Monthly Action.
