The anime adaptation "The Elusive Samurai," based on the manga by Yusei Matsui, will premiere in July. Along with the announcement, a short promo video focusing on the character Hojo Tokiyuki was released. "The Elusive Samurai" tells the story of Tokiyuki, the second son of Hojo Takatoki, the head of the Kamakura Shogunate. The historically inspired story follows Tokiyuki's escape and survival after losing everything in a rebellion led by the military leader Ashikaga Takauji. With the help of the priest Suwa Yorishige, who claims to be a god, Tokiyuki flees Kamakura and fights his way through turbulent times. The anime is produced by CloverWorks, with Asaki Yuzukawa voicing Tokiyuki.
