In Episode 4 of "Liar Liar," the story unfolds with a conversation between Sly Fox and Shirayuki, where Sly Fox reveals that Shinohara Hiroto, Shirayuki's master, is now a Two-Star player. He received an additional unique star after defeating the owner of the Indigo Star, Kugasaki Seiran. Sly Fox suggests that if Hiroto continues to defeat players with Unique Stars, he could become a Seven-Star player with all colors.

Shirayuki, who was recently transferred to Eimei Academy, introduces herself to her new classmates. The school announces the "All-Campus Elimination Battle," a mock competition in which all students participate, and the last one standing wins. This event will also determine who will participate in the inter-academy competition next month.

Hiroto and Shirayuki discuss the upcoming event, and Hiroto suggests that the best strategy would be to run away. However, they are interrupted by Akizuki Noa, a third-year student and one of only three Six-Star students at Eimei. Noa reveals that Hiroto is the most popular target for the upcoming event.

Later, Hiroto is approached by Ichinose Natsume, who informs him about two strange occurrences on campus. First, external forces are attempting to infiltrate the All-Campus Elimination Battle, and second, the Green Unique Star has been stolen. Natsume asks Hiroto to help him uncover the identity of the intruder, retrieve the stolen Unique Star, and secure his position as the strongest man at the academy school.

In preparation for the event, Hiroto and Shirayuki develop a strategy to avoid the trial requests from other participants. However, their plan is thwarted when Hiroto's location data is sent to everyone simultaneously. Hiroto is then confronted by Noa, who seems to have seen through their strategy. Noa manages to force Hiroto into a conflict state, preventing him from escaping.

The episode ends on a cliffhanger as Shirayuki, who has been captured by Noa, informs Hiroto that they can no longer afford to lose the game the next day.
