On the official website for the anime Liar Liar, a new trailer has been released. The one-minute video reveals that the adaptation of the light novel series written by Haruki Kuō will air on Japanese television in 2023.



The cast announced so far consists of the following voice actors and the character designs they portray:

- Genta Nakamura as Hiroto Shinohara

- Yukina Shutō as Shirayuki Himeji

- Wakana Kuramochi as Sarasa Saionji

Kadokawa began publishing the series under its MF Bunko imprint in April 2019, with illustrations by Kinokonomi. Haruki Kuō's work currently spans 11 volumes. The manga by Funa Yukina has 2 compiled volumes, with the second one released in Japan last November.

The "Academy" is a school island where students compete against each other in duels called "games" to determine their rank. Hiroto Shinohara achieved the highest score in the entrance exam for the school island, which is the most difficult in Japan, and defeated last year's overall winner, Sarasa Saionji, on his first day at school. He joins the "Seven Stars," who rise to dominance faster than anyone else in history. To fulfill his mission on the island, he must remain at the top, even if it means lying. To achieve this, he is willing to do anything, including falling for the trap set by Himeji, the beautiful maid who serves as his teacher, and conspiring with Saionji, who is actually a fake woman.
