The official blog of the Kodansha Light Novel Bunko editorial department announced that a TV anime adaptation of Nana Mikoshiba's fantasy light novel "Hyouken no Majutsushi ga Sekai wo Suberu" is in the works and is set to premiere in January 2023.
Mikoshiba began writing the story in October 2019 on the website Shousetsuka ni Narou. Kodansha began publishing the series under its Lanove Bunko imprint the following July, with illustrations by Riko Korie.
The manga adaptation of the novel, illustrated by Norihito Sasaki, has also been serialized on Kodansha's free manga app "Magazine Pocket" since June 2020.
Kodansha Comics has licensed the manga and describes the story as follows:
The Arnold Academy of Magic is a school for the elite... and Ray White is just an ordinary guy. In fact, he doesn't seem particularly skilled with magic and is quite clumsy. That's why he has nothing to do with the rumor that one of the great sorcerers, the Iceblade Sorcerer, is a member of the new class... or is he?
