Kadokawa announced on Wednesday that Kyōsuke Kamishiro and Takayaki's Mamahaha no Tsurego ga Moto Kano Datta (My Stepmother's Daughter Was My Ex-Girlfriend) light novel series has an anime in the works. However, no further details have been revealed yet.
The series, written by Kamishiro Kyousuke and illustrated by Takayaki, revolves around Mizuto and Yume Irido, who become step-siblings after their parents marry—even though the two were a couple in middle school. However, they broke up upon their middle school graduation after a series of arguments. Now, the two live together and have established a sibling rule: the one who sees the other as a member of the opposite sex loses.
Kamishiro began publishing the romantic comedy novel, also known by the short title TsureKano, on the Kakuyomu website in August 2017.
