The light novel series Okashi na Tensei (Sweet Reincarnation) is officially receiving an anime adaptation. This was announced on the official Twitter account of the publisher TO BOOKS, along with the information that the series has sold over 850,000 copies.

Koryuu began writing the slice-of-life fantasy series in February 2015 on the website Shousetsuka ni Narou. TO Books started publishing the light novel with illustrations by Yasuyuki Shuri in October 2015.

J-Novel Club is releasing the manga adaptation of the novels by Seriko Iida, which describes the story as follows:

Nine-year-old pastry chef Mille Morteln is both the heir to his father and the reincarnation of an unfulfilled master pastry chef. He dreams of a land full of sweet treats, but there’s still a lot to do before that! He must learn to fight, master his new magical abilities, and defend his village against bandits. All while he really just wants to bake the perfect apple pie... The pastry chef Mille Morteln has his hands full in Sweet Reincarnation.
