Buncololi began publishing this fantasy comedy in January 2018 with the release of the first volume of the light novel by Media Factory under their MF Bunko J imprint, featuring illustrations by Kantoku. The novel series has so far released four volumes, along with a manga adaptation by Pureji Osho on Kadokawa's ComicWalker web service, which has been compiled into two tankōbon volumes.
Yen Press describes the series' story as follows:

After picking out a cute little bird and taking it home, it turns out to be an incredible sage from another world who grants Sasaki supernatural powers and the ability to travel between worlds. All Sasaki wants is to use his newfound abilities to live in peace and comfort, but there’s more than just a few colorful characters who might stand in his way...
