Light novel Sasaki to Pii-chan is getting a TV anime

Kadokawa's MF Bunko J Novel Publishing Company's "Natsu no Gakuensai 2022" event confirmed that Buncololi's Sasaki to Pi-chan light novel series will receive an anime adaptation. Kadokawa also released a promotional trailer for the anime, starring Tomokazu Sugita as Sasaki and Aoi YĆ«ki as Pii-chan. More details about the TV project will be announced shortly.

Buncololi began publishing this fantasy comedy in January 201 with Media Factory's publication of the first volume of this light novel under their MF Bunko J novel publishing imprint, with illustrations by Kantoku. The novel has four volumes so far and a manga adaptation by Pureji Osho on Kadokawa's ComicWalker web service. This adaptation comprises 2 anthologies.

Though Sasaki's quirky corporate life is constantly filled with work, it leaves him tired and unfulfilled at the end of each day. Looking for some company to fill the void in his life, he visits a pet store on a whim, unaware that he is about to change his life forever. After choosing a cute bird and taking it home with him, it turns out to be an incredible sage from another world who grants Sasaki supernatural powers and gives him the ability to switch between worlds. All Sasaki wants is to use these newfound powers to live in peace and comfort, but there's more than a few colorful characters that might get in the way...
