“Loner Life in Another World” will be made into an anime in 2024

The light novel "Loner Life in Another World," which was originally published on the novel-posting site "Shosetsuka ni Naro," is set to be adapted into a TV anime in 2024. A teaser image and a special video clip have been made available to the public.

The story begins with the protagonist Haruka, who spent his high school life alone, being summoned to another world along with his classmates. In this new world, everyone can choose from a list of powerful "cheat abilities" granted by a god, but it's a first-come, first-served situation. In the end, Haruka is left with only the "useless abilities" after the coveted ones are taken, including the ability "Loner," which forces him to face the challenges of this new world alone. The narrative follows Haruka as he overcomes these challenges without relying on the cheat abilities of others.

The original novel has been published by Overlap Bunko up to Volume 12. Additionally, a manga adaptation by Bibi is serialized in Comic Gardo, with 17 volumes currently available.

The teaser image shows Haruka alone in a white space. At the same time, a special video clip featuring excerpts from the manga has been released. It has also been confirmed that Shuichiro Umeda will voice the character Haruka. Umeda commented on Haruka's journey and expressed how he can relate to the character's challenges in conquering this new world.
