For the upcoming film "Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Walpurgisnacht – Rising" (original title: "Gekijōban Mahō Shōjo Madoka Magica: Walpurgis no Kaiten"), two additional voice actresses have been announced. As shown in a new trailer, Shion Wakayama and Tomoyo Kurosawa will lend their voices to two new magical girls.

Wakayama will voice the role of Shichōka, while Kurosawa will be heard as Selma Therese. The film is the official sequel to "Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part 3: Rebellion" from 2013 and will be released in Japanese theaters on August 28, 2026.

The third preview trailer will be shown nationwide in theaters from mid-May. The creative responsibility once again lies with the series' creators: chief director Akiyuki Shinbo, screenwriter Gen Urobuchi, and composer Yuki Kajiura are on board, along with animation studio Shaft. Information on the second wave of advance ticket sales is expected to follow shortly.

In addition to the newcomers, the returning cast includes Aoi Yūki as Madoka Kaname, Chiwa Saitō as Homura Akemi, and Eri Kitamura as Sayaka Miki.
