Maebashi Witches – Magical Sounds and Witch Dreams in New Anime Series

The original anime series Maebashi Witches transports viewers to the picturesque setting of the city of Maebashi (Gunma Prefecture), where five young girls pursue their dream of succeeding as witches. The focus is on Yui Akagi, Azu Niisato, Kyouka Kitahara, Choko Mitsumata, and Mai Kamiizumi, whose daily lives oscillate between magical training and personal challenges.

Premiere episode and musical highlight

In the first episode, the protagonists encounter Zoe Eiko, a girl with inner conflicts who seeks her happiness at the Witch Flower School. An emotional moment of the episode is the use of the insert song Yume yo, Sake! (eng. Blossom, Dream!), in which Yui and her friends encourage Zoe through song and dance.
