Magi creator Shinobu Ohtaka's Battle Fantasy Manga Orient gets TV Anime

Kodansha announced that Shinobu Ohtaka's Orient manga will inspire a TV anime. Kodansha is streaming a teaser video for the announcement but did not reveal a premiere date for the anime.

Kodansha Comics publishes the manga in English and describes the story:

At the age of 10, best friends Musashi and Kojiro sat in excited silence as Kojiro’s father told them stories of evil demons who preyed on the innocent, and of the warriors who defeated them. The two practice sword fighting and vow to become the strongest in the world. But as they grow older, Kojiro becomes cynical, and Musashi realizes he can’t undo 150 years of demon rule alone. He’s called a child prodigy with a pickaxe, and he’s almost ready to settle for a life as a laborer. Yet he can’t shake the feeling that he still has a responsibility to act... and soon, the injustices in his world will force him to...
