“Magic Maker: How to Craft Magic in Another World” TV anime announced for 2025

Kazuki Kaburagi's novel "Magic Maker: How to Craft Magic in Another World" will be adapted into a TV anime in 2025. Alongside the announcement, details about the cast, production team, teaser visuals, and a teaser trailer were released.

The story follows a person from modern times who is fascinated by magic, unexpectedly dies, and is reborn in another world as Shion, a shy boy from the low-ranking noble family Ornstein. Shion hopes to be able to use magic in this new world but soon realizes that magic does not exist there. However, after experiencing a mysterious phenomenon with his sister Marie, Shion embarks on a quest to find magic. The original novel series was published by KADOKAWA and consists of two volumes. A manga adaptation by Tomomi Nishioka was published by Mag Garden and spans three volumes.

In the anime, Shion is voiced by Megumi Han, while his caring sister Marie is voiced by Ai Kakuma. The video features Shion's voice as performed by Han.

The anime is directed by Kazunori Koga, with Keiichiro Ochi as series composer, Takayuki Noguchi as character designer, and music by Kei Yoshikawa and Kana Hashiguchi. Studio Deen is handling the animation production. These announcements were accompanied by comments from the original author Kazuki Kaburagi, the novel's illustrator Ten, the manga adapter Tomomi Nishioka, and the lead cast members Megumi Han and Ai Kakuma.
