Studio Pierot announces another animation production within their established Mahō Shōjo series. "Mahou no Shimai Lulut Lily" will be released in April 2026 and continues the tradition of works such as "Magical Angel Creamy Mami".
The plot focuses on the sisters Noyama Fuu and Rui, who possess the ability to change their appearance into adult forms. Under strict conditions - a one-year deadline and absolute secrecy of their powers - they pursue parallel careers as idols without knowing about each other.
The cast of the main characters includes two actresses in their first animation leading roles. Mei Tachibana voices both the younger sister and her transformed identities. The older sister is voiced by Nao Shika.
Further characters include magical beings in the form of cats and established idol figures. The voicing of these roles is handled by established voice actors such as Hiroki Nanami and Ai Kayano.
The direction of the production is handled by Shintaro Dōge, who previously worked as an assistant director. The screenplay is designed by Yūko Kakinohara, known for her work on established series.
A first visual preview shows the sisters with magical props as well as their transformed idol identities. The pilot film provides insights into their daily life and the transformation sequences.
