On June 28, 2026, the production team of Kabushiki Gaisha Magilumiere (known in English as Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc.) released the second promotional video for the second season. The approximately 30-second clip shows action-packed scenes at the Institute of Magical Technology, where Kana and her colleagues from Magilumiere fight against a new type of Kaii (a so-called monster). Fans are particularly drawn to the first glimpses of the time before the experienced Magical Girl Hitomi Koshigaya joined the company.
The trailer is accompanied by the opening theme "Latte Magic," composed and sung by syudou in collaboration with Yūsei Yagi (FANTASTICS). The ending theme of the second season is titled "BooooM!!!" and comes from the popular VTuber Marine Houshou.
The second season premieres on July 4, 2026, on Nippon TV and other stations of the NNS network. Prime Video offers a weekly simulcast starting July 5; from July 7, numerous streaming services such as ABEMA, DMM TV, d-Anime Store, U-NEXT, Hulu, and many more will follow. AT-X will air the series from July 11.
Behind the scenes, there are some changes: Direction is handled by Riki Fukushima (known for Beyblade the Movie: Fierce Battle and Skate-Leading Stars). Series composition and scripts are handled by Michiko Yokote (Prison School, RIN-NE). Character design is by Masahiro Fujii, and music is by Makoto Miyazaki. Studio J.C.STAFF, which already produced the first season, is again responsible for the animation.
In addition to the already known voice roles – including Fairouz Ai as Kana Sakuragi and Mariko Higashiuchi as the new voice of Hitomi Koshigaya – additional cast members join. Manaka Iwami voices the priestess Sakae Tōnomori, Katsuya Fukunishi takes on the role of student Hibiki Yamimori. For the characters of the Koshigaya General Inspector and Director Manda, Kōsuke Gotō and Taketora have been cast, respectively.
The underlying manga series by Sekka Iwata and Yū Aoki was published in Shōnen Jump+ magazine between October 2021 and July 2025 and comprises a total of 18 volumes. The blend of magical girl action and workplace comedy has built a loyal fan base in Japan and internationally. With the new episodes, the story of the working magical girls of Magilumiere is set to continue and deepen.
