Main video for anime "Odayaka Kizoku no Kyūka no Susume." (A Refined Noble's Guide to a Peaceful Retirement) released

The central promotional video for the upcoming anime adaptation of the light novel series "Odayaka Kizoku no Kyūka no Susume." (A Refined Noble's Guide to a Peaceful Retirement) has been released. The series will be available starting January 7, 2026.

The released video offers a comprehensive look at the plot and atmosphere of the series. It begins with scenes showing the protagonist Rizerl arriving in a new world and his first encounters with its inhabitants. Later on, it depicts how Rizerl fully enjoys his newfound life in this foreign land, treating it as a sort of respite.

The story is based on the light novel of the same name and follows Rizerl, a former grand chancellor of a powerful empire, who is reborn in another world. Instead of seeking political power again, he decides to lead a modest and fulfilling life as an adventurer, enjoying the simple pleasures of his second chance.

Details regarding the musical framework of the series have also been announced. The opening sequence will feature the song "Gypso" by Teru Makishima. The ending will be set to the music of "Ussura," sung by Hina Naoda. A short audio preview of "Gypso" is included in the newly released main video.

Voice actor Sōma Saitō will provide the voice for the main character Rizerl. The series production is handled by animation studio Zero-G, with direction by Mirai Minato.
