The fourth season of the anime television series 「Mairimashita! Iruma-kun」 (Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun) will begin airing on NHK E-TV from April 4th. As announced by the anime's official Twitter account, the new season will span two cours (two consecutive quarters) and is expected to have 24 episodes.
The opening theme for the new season will be provided by the band Penthouse. Their song is titled "Ichi Ni no San" ("一二三"). Guitarist and vocalist Shintaro Namioka commented: "I wanted to capture the fantastic atmosphere of the series, where moving scenes flash between comedic and pop-culture moments, in the form of an opening for a chapter that connects the underworld and music. It has become a song that swings between coolness and exuberance, making you dance involuntarily. I would be happy if it is loved together with the series!"
The series is based on the manga of the same name by Osamu Nishi, which has been serialized in "Weekly Shōnen Champion" since March 2017. The story revolves around the human boy Iruma Suzuki, who is sold by his parents to a demon and must henceforth hide his humanity at Babyls Demon School. In the fourth season, the "Abnormal Class" faces the challenge that all thirteen members must achieve the fourth rank (Rank 4). To accomplish this seemingly impossible task, Iruma and his friends participate in the school's grand music festival.
In addition to the already known voice actors such as Ayumu Murase (Iruma), Ryohei Kimura (Alice Asmodeus), and Ayaka Asai (Clara Valac), the new season will also feature Setsuo Ito as Purson Soi – the role of the long-forgotten thirteenth student of the Abnormal Class has thus been cast for the first time. The overall series director is once again Makoto Moriwaki, with Ayaka Tsujihashi directing. The animation is produced by BN Pictures.
