The second season of Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari is set to premiere in July. The anime began airing on January 9 on Tokyo MX, BS11, and other channels. Crunchyroll is streaming the series worldwide, except in Asia.

The story revolves around the Saenome Clan, which peacefully helps return spirits, known as tsukumogami, to the spirit world. Kunato Hyouma, a member of the clan, struggles with his anger when dealing with tsukumogami, leading his grandfather to send him to Kyoto to live with Nagatsuki Botan, who coexists with tsukumogami as if they were family.
