The Japanese company MediBang Inc. and the publisher Shueisha announced that they are establishing a special overseas award for the "Tezuka Manga Contest" to discover new talents from around the world.

The "Tezuka Manga Contest" (Tezuka Shō) is one of the regular competitions held annually by Shueisha and Weekly Shonen Jump to search for new talents in shonen manga. The contest has existed since 1971.
