Leipzig (dpa) – The Grassi Museum has recently introduced a new special exhibition. It focuses on the precursor of what is now popularly known as manga, which has also gained popularity in Europe. Starting November 21, the exhibition will display various woodcuts, coloring stencils, and scroll paintings under the title "Japanese Print Art Before Manga." Most of the pieces come from the collection of the Museum of Applied Arts, supplemented by additional loans from various collectors. Additionally, a small reading corner will offer manga fans the opportunity to browse a little.
