This year's combined Issues 32 and 33 of Shogakukan's Weekly Big Comic Spirits Magazine announces that the Isekai Shikkaku (No Longer Human...In Another World) manga is being adapted into an anime TV series. Takahiro Wakamatsu, the manga's animator, is celebrating the announcement with a commemorative illustration.

Hiroshi Noda and Takahiro Wakamatsu, who also publish the manga Koi wa sekai seifuku no ato de, have been writing or drawing this dark fantasy comedy with supernatural elements since October 2019 in the web manga Yawaraka Spirits by Shogakukan Publishing, which has 7 anthologies to date has brought.

Seven Seas describes the story as follows:

A second life in another world with cute girls by your side and video game powers - sounds like a dream right? Not so for a certain melancholy author who would literally rather drop dead. To be honest, all the fantastical adventures only get in the way of his poetic dream of finding the perfect place to die. But no matter how much he risks his skin, things always seem to work out fine. Will our terminally depressed hero find a new life in this lighthearted, dark Isekai comedy?
