A photo of the eighth anthology of Makoto Ojiro's "Kimi wa Hōkago Insomnia" manga was posted on the official Twitter account of the Matsumoto branch of the Bunkyōdō bookstore chain. The book's dust jacket reveals that the manga will inspire both a TV anime and a live-action film.

Shogakukan released a special animated promotional video to mark the release of Volume 7 last October.

Kimi wa Houkago Insomnia follows the insomniacs Nakami and Magari in the observatory, where they help each other cope with insomnia and its permanent effects on student life.

Ojiro started drawing the slice-of-life school manga in Big Comic Spirits in May 2019.
