The manga "Tōjima Tanzaburō wa Kamen Rider ni Naritai" ("Tanzaburo Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider") by Yokusaru Shibata is being adapted into an anime. The production team announced this along with a specially designed illustration by the manga artist. Additionally, a first announcement trailer was released, featuring scenes from the manga.

The story centers on Tanzaburō Tōjima, an adult man who has dreamed since childhood of becoming a hero in the style of the Kamen Rider series. As an adult, he unwillingly gets caught up in a robbery carried out by a criminal group resembling the infamous "Shocker" organization, which fundamentally changes his everyday life.

Author Yokusaru Shibata describes the story as a passionate tale about the dreams of a man whose childish enthusiasm for heroes never faded.

Further details about the anime adaptation, including the announcement of the voice actor for the main character Tanzaburō Tōjima, will be revealed during an official presentation at the AnimeJapan 2025 event on March 23.
