In the past two weeks, several very well-known and fan-favorite manga series have come to an end.

Hiroshi Shiibashi's "Illegal Rare" started it off on September 8th with a total of 4 volumes.

A week later, "Shijo Saikyo no Deshi Kenichi" by Shun Matsuena concluded after 12 years and 60 collected volumes. The final chapter, with its concluding pages in color, can be described as very well done.

In extreme contrast, however, was the ending of Tokyo Ghoul by Sui Ishida, now with 14 volumes. The first season of the anime series can be considered the hit of the summer season. Another season has already been announced.

Thus, the manga's ending was left open with multiple cliffhangers of all kinds, while simultaneously introducing new storylines.

Additionally, "Uwa-koi" will end on September 22nd, "Wagatsuma-san wa Ore no Yome" two days later, and finally "Cyclops Shojo Saipu" one more day after that.

The timing is deliberately chosen before the fall/winter seasons, as new series can establish themselves better during this period.
