MAPPA and Contrail collaborate on the music video "Lucky (feat. UMI)"

The animation studios MAPPA and Contrail, the latter founded by staff from "In This Corner of the World," jointly produced the music video for "Lucky (feat. UMI)" by Nulbarich and Sunny. The video was released today, May 24.

The single "Lucky (feat. UMI)," released today, is part of the "Pokémon Music Collective," a project that creates new music based on the sounds of the "Pokémon" game series. The band Nulbarich, led by singer and songwriter JQ, collaborated with producer Sunny and Japanese-American artist UMI, who gained fame through her hit single "wherever u r" featuring V of BTS.

This marks the first time MAPPA has worked on a Pokémon-related project. The music video features characters inspired by JQ, Sunny, and UMI, as well as Pokémon like Chansey (Lucky), Dragapult, and Empoleon, creating a heartwarming visual experience.
