MAPPA produces 'Alice to Therese no Maboroshi Koujou' anime film

During the MAPPA Stage 2021: 10th Anniversary event, an anime film titled Alice to Therese no Maboroshi Koujou (The Illusion Factory of Alice and Therese) was announced. The event also revealed a teaser trailer and the main staff members.

Mari Okada will direct the film, while Tadashi Hiramatsu (JUJUTSU KAISEN Animation Director) will serve as assistant director. Yuriko Ishii (Nagi no Asukara) will handle character design and animation direction, Kazuki Higashiji (Nagi no Asukara) will serve as art director, and Masaru Yokoyama (Her Blue Sky) will compose the music.

Mari Okada commented on the film: "[It] is a story about boys and girls fighting against their fate in an ambiguous world, with 'love' as their weapon." She said it is a team she can trust and looks forward to creating a film that only they can make.
