The fantasy novel "May I Ask for One Final Thing?" by Nana Otori is officially being adapted into a TV anime and is set to be released in 2025. This news was announced on September 16 at the "Aniplex Online Fest 2024," where both the first teaser visual and a trailer were revealed.

"May I Ask for One Final Thing?" tells the story of Scarlet El Vandimion, a noblewoman who finds herself in an unexpected situation when her engagement to the second prince, Kyle, is suddenly called off during a grand ball. As if the abrupt breakup weren’t bad enough, Scarlet is also falsely accused and branded a "villainess" by the gathered nobility. The story, a captivating mix of action, fantasy, and revenge, is known for its unique and gripping take on the villainess plot.

The anime adaptation is being produced by LIDENFILMS. Kazuya Sakamoto is directing, with series composition by Deko Akao and character designs by Eriko Iida.

Masami Seto will voice the main character, Scarlet El Vandimion. The first teaser visual shown at the event features Scarlet in a striking red dress that reflects her bold personality and fiery spirit. The trailer offers a glimpse into key moments of the story, including the dramatic scene in the ballroom where Scarlet’s engagement is dissolved and she is confronted with false accusations.

Alongside the teaser visual and trailer, comments from original author Nana Otori, illustrator Satsuki, and manga adaptation artist Sora Hoho were also released. Otori expressed her gratitude to everyone involved in the anime’s production: "I’m incredibly excited to see how Scarlet’s journey unfolds in this new medium. The anime format allows for elements and details that even I, as the creator, am eager to see realized."
