The TV anime series "Medalist," based on the manga by Tsurumaikada, will debut on January 4, 2025, in the "NUMAnimation" programming block on TV Asahi. With the release of a new key visual, a main trailer, and the announcement of the opening song, exciting news has been presented for fans.

The key visual carries the slogan "A dream that requires two lives to be sacrificed" and depicts the main characters Tsukasa Myōra and Inori Yui in an atmospheric portrayal. The story revolves around Tsukasa, a former figure skater, and the young Inori, who self-taught herself figure skating. The anime shows how Tsukasa supports Inori in joining an official figure skating club while her mother tries to stop Inori from skating due to her perceived lack of ability.

The opening song "BOW AND ARROW," written exclusively for the anime, is by Kenshi Yonezu. The artist, himself a fan of the manga, explained that his enthusiasm for the source material led him to directly ask the team if he could contribute the song. A portion of the track can already be heard in the main trailer.
