“MF Ghost” Anime Series Sets Premiere Date, Releases Fifth Promotional Video

The anime adaptation of "MF Ghost," based on the original work by Shuichi Shigeno, has officially announced October 1st as its premiere date. Alongside this announcement, a fifth promotional video has been released. This latest video showcases a lineup of high-performance vehicles such as the Porsche 718 Cayman S, Lamborghini Huracan, Ferrari 488 GTB, and Alpine A110, which will challenge the protagonist Kanata Rivington (Katagiri Natsumukou).



Voice actor Shinichiro Miki, known for his role as Takumi Fujiwara in the TV series "Initial D," serves as the narrator for the video. Additionally, the voices of characters from "Initial D" can be heard, such as Ryo Takahashi, voiced by Takehito Koyasu, Kai Kobashi, voiced by Naganori Kamiya, and Keisuke Takahashi, voiced by Tomokazu Seki.

The preview begins with Miki's narration, followed by scenes where Ryo Takahashi suggests keeping an eye on the driver (Kanata), and Kai Kobashi, who had raced against Takumi Fujiwara in "Initial D," praises Kanata's exceptional skills. Keisuke Takahashi also adds his own comments as FD cars are seen during the race.

In "MF Ghost," the setting is aligned with the near future of Shigeno's previous work "Initial D." The focus is on street racing in the real world. The character Kanata, voiced by Yuma Uchida, comes to Japan after graduating from a prestigious British racing school to search for his missing father.
