MF Ghost - Episode 14

In Episode 14, the Ashinoko GT Race takes place under challenging, rainy conditions. During qualifying, Katagiri Kanata impresses the spectators by navigating the treacherous "Death Zone" using Fujiwara Takumi's zero-countersteer drift technique. Despite skepticism from drivers like Beckenbauer, who doubts Kanata's methods against superior cars like his Porsche, Kanata secures the tenth position.

Off the track, Kanata chats with Ren Saionji about the slang term "yabai," which highlights his adaptation to Japanese culture. He wants to repay the Saionji family's hospitality by treating them to a meal with the earnings from his part-time job. During the meal, Kanata is recognized by the restaurant owner as MFG's Super Rookie, signaling his growing fame.

As race day approaches, the drivers prepare for the wet conditions. Joyu notes that new track records have been set, surpassing Keisuke's previous "Super Lap." Ogata worries about the disadvantage of rear-wheel-drive cars in the rain, while Kanata remains unfazed, believing the rain affects all participants equally.
