Migi to Dali - Episode 3

The episode begins with a flashback to the early lives of Hitori and Dali, where they lived hidden in a room with a "water flea" wallpaper alongside their mother. Their mother was murdered in the village of Origon, where they now find themselves. Hitori's adoptive parents suggest that he join the scouts to make friends.

Hitori and Dali discuss the urgency of finding their mother's killer. They decide that if they make friends in the village, they might gain access to other houses, which could provide them with clues. Hitori tries to befriend the village children but is laughed at and mocked. He meets a boy named Akiyama, who befriends him after Hitori manages to walk a line without using his hands. Despite numerous falls and teasing from the other children, Hitori perseveres.

Akiyama invites Hitori to his home, where Hitori and Dali switch roles to search for a room with water flea wallpaper—a clue from their past. They find a similar room but without the scribbles they remember, ruling out Akiyama's house as the scene of the incident.

Meanwhile, Hitori learns more about Akiyama's passion for flying and his prototypes for flight suits. They share a moment of understanding, but Hitori and Dali remain focused on their main goal of finding their mother's killer.

The episode ends with Hitori being invited to the home of another boy, Maruta. Hitori and Dali switch roles once more to search for clues but find nothing. As they leave the house, they encounter the family's maid, Mrs. Mitsuyama.
