Migi to Dali - Episode 5

The episode begins with Hitori and Dali preparing to search the Ichijo household for clues about their mother's murderer. They are invited to a dinner at the Ichijo residence, where Hitori's academic achievements are celebrated. During the meal, Eiji Ichijo, the son of the Ichijo family, accuses Hitori of stealing a button from his pajamas. The situation escalates, and the Ichijos suggest that Hitori should stay with them for "re-education."

While staying at the Ichijo household, Hitori and Dali take turns searching for a room with "water flea"-patterned wallpaper—a clue tied to their past. They don't find it but discover that the Ichijos possess extensive surveillance data on the village residents. During their search, they are nearly caught by Fidélité, the Ichijos' pet, but manage to escape.

Hitori and Dali also uncover a hidden room with a piano, which triggers memories of their mother. They realize that the "water flea" sound they remembered was actually the sound of the piano in the neighboring room. They find a diorama of Origon Village and data on all its inhabitants, confirming that the Ichijos are monitoring everyone.

Then, Mrs. Mitsuyama, also called Micchan, the maid serving both the Sonoyama and Ichijo families, is introduced. She assists Hitori in his search and is fascinated by the Ichijos' secrets. The episode ends with Hitori hiding in a closet as someone returns to the Ichijo house, while Micchan takes care of the cleanup.
