Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid film announced for 2025: "The Lonely Dragon".

The popular anime Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, based on the manga by Coolkyousinnjya, is set to hit theaters in 2025. Titled Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid: The Lone Dragon, the film will once again be produced by Kyoto Animation, continuing their work on the TV anime series.

The heartwarming comedy follows the life of office worker Kobayashi, who unexpectedly ends up living with a dragon girl named Tohru, working as her maid. The TV adaptation, which first aired in 2017 and had a second season planned for 2021, has garnered a loyal fanbase thanks to its charming mix of humor and heartfelt moments. The original manga continues to be serialized in Monthly Action (Futabasha).

The newly released teaser image features the character Kanna holding someone's hand while seemingly walking away, accompanied by the line "Goodbye, Kobayashi." This melancholic tone creates a different mood compared to the usually lively atmosphere of the series, sparking curiosity about the film's direction.

Tatsuya Ishihara, the director of the second season Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S, returns to direct the film. The main cast will also reprise their roles: Mutsumi Tamura as Kobayashi, Yūki Kuwahara as Tohru, and Maria Naganawa as Kanna.
