"Mission: Yozakura Family": Second Season Enters Second Half in October 2026 – Gold Spies in New Trailer

The second half of the second season of the anime "Yozakura-sanchi no Daisakusen" (Mission: Yozakura Family) will air on Japanese television starting October 2026. The producers announced this on June 28, 2026, and simultaneously released a new trailer, which for the first time showcases the so-called Gold Spies. The series is based on the manga of the same name by Hitsuji Gondaira, which was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from August 2019 to January 2025 and concluded in 29 volumes. The print run exceeds 3.6 million copies. The first season of the anime aired from April to October 2024 with 27 episodes. The second season began on April 12, 2026, on the MBS/TBS network (28 stations) and will continue with the second cour in October after twelve episodes. The storyline of the second half picks up from the climax of the first cour, where the true intentions of Mutsumi's father, Yozakura Hyaku, were revealed. With distorted love, Hyaku destroys his family and eventually becomes a threat to the entire spy organization. In the second cour, the powerful Gold Spies now take center stage, while the fate of the siblings is put to the test by Hyaku's intrigues. The new opening is by Sakurazaka46 with the title "What’s KAZOKU?", and the ending by Pilaf Alien is called "Shalala". Studio Silver Link is once again responsible for the production. The overall direction is by Mirai Minato, the direction by Takahiro Nakatsugawa, and the character design by Mizuki Takahashi. The main roles are voiced by Reiji Kawashima (Taiyo Asano), Kaede Hondo (Mutsumi Yozakura), Katsuyuki Konishi (Kyoichiro Yozakura), Akari Kito (Futaba Yozakura), and many others.
