The official website for the TV anime adaptation of Mitsuru Adachi's baseball manga Mix announced on Saturday that a second season is in production. The first season, produced by OLM, aired in spring 2019 with 24 episodes.

The anime is an adaptation of the manga "Mix" by Mitsuru Adachi, which has been serialized in Shogakukan's Monthly Shōnen Sunday magazine since May 2012 and has so far been compiled into 19 volumes. "Mix" follows a new generation of baseball players at Meisei High School. This school was one of the settings of Adachi's manga "Touch." The manga Touch was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in the 1980s. The combined circulation of the 26 volumes of Touch exceeds 100 million copies.
