Mix Season 2 - Episode 15

The 15th episode tells the story of a sweltering summer day as the Meisei High School baseball team prepares for the quarterfinals. The team's next opponent will be determined by the outcome of a game between Kiba Trade School and Eishin High School.

The episode takes a look back into the past, revealing an important historical game between Meisei and Eishin High School 27 years ago. In that game, Meisei's current coach, Ooyama, was the captain and catcher. During the match, one of Meisei's players got injured, and another player—who is now the father of one of the current players—had to step in. Unfortunately, he missed the lead and the walk-off hit, resulting in a loss for Meisei. This game has not been forgotten, especially by the older generation who were directly involved.

Back in the present, the younger Tachibana brother, who only struck out one batter in the last game, expresses his frustration. He isn’t upset about being taken out of the game but rather at himself for feeling relieved when he was substituted. However, his teammates reassure him, pointing out that he performed well and only allowed one run in eight and a half innings.

Meanwhile, Tachibana’s older brother, Touma, is praised for his exceptional pitching performance. Despite only throwing three pitches, his contribution was crucial to the team’s victory. His dedication to the team is evident, as he always gives his all when pitching for his teammates.
