In Episode 20 of "Mix - Meisei Story S2," the tension is palpable as both teams have yet to score a hit by the end of the sixth inning. Tachibana has 14 strikeouts, while Nishimura has 12, and neither team has allowed a walk. The atmosphere at Meiji Jingu Baseball Stadium is electric.

At the start of the seventh inning, Seinan High is at bat. Mitsuya, the leadoff second baseman, hits a slow pop fly that lands between second, center, and right field. However, Akai, Meisei's speedy center fielder, catches the ball with a diving leap, securing the first out of the inning. Still, Tachibana continues his perfect pitching streak.

By the end of the seventh inning, the game takes a turn. Akai, Meisei's leadoff hitter, connects with the first pitch of the at-bat. After an intentional walk for Tachibana, Imagawa steps up to bat. He hits a hard flyball that sails over the right fielder's head, allowing two runners to score. However, Imagawa's excitement gets the better of him, and he is caught out at second base. By the end of the seventh inning, Meisei leads 2-0.

The eighth inning brings even more drama. Tadokoro, Seinan's cleanup hitter and catcher, strikes out. Nishimura, Seinan's fifth batter and pitcher, surprises everyone by hitting a home run off the foul pole, narrowing the score to 2-1. With this single hit, Tachibana's perfect game, no-hitter, and shutout are ruined. Despite this setback, Tachibana remains composed and ends the inning with another strikeout.

Meanwhile, Nishimura showcases his pitching prowess by retiring every inning after just three batters. By the end of the eighth inning, he has allowed only two hits and struck out 16 batters. In contrast, Tachibana has allowed just one hit—Nishimura's home run—and struck out 17 batters.

As the final inning approaches, anticipation builds. Both teams are determined to secure their place in Koshien. The episode ends with the promise that dreams can come true, setting the stage for the next episode, titled "Just One More."
