We continue to follow the life of the stepbrother duo Souichirou and Touma Tachibana, who share the common ambition of leading their high school baseball team to the prestigious Koshien tournament, a feat achieved by their father's generation. In this episode, their high school, Meisei, faces off against the highly competitive Kenjo team.

At the beginning of the episode, the Meisei High baseball team is on its way to the game, and the conversations are filled with anticipation and excitement for the match against Kenjo. Predictions about the game's outcome are wild, highlighting the high stakes and the respect the opposing team commands.

Once the game begins, Natsuno, a first-year student, takes the pitcher's mound for Meisei. Despite Kenjo's reputation, Natsuno manages to prevent any runs thanks to his control and Sou's strategic gameplay. Even as the opponents start reading his pitches, he remains steadfast, aided by well-positioned fielders and Sou's support.

As the game progresses, however, it becomes clear that Natsuno's luck is gradually running out. Touma is then called into the game. His performance, however, doesn't go entirely as expected. His first pitches are a series of balls, resulting in a walk and loading the bases. Surprisingly, he recovers by striking out two Kenjo batters in a row, leaving everyone impressed and somewhat stunned. This shift reveals the depth of his hidden talent and shows a marked improvement compared to his performance the previous year.

In contrast, Meisei's offense struggles against Kenjo's starting pitcher. The only hit they manage comes from Souichirou, who dashes Kenjo's hopes of a no-hitter. By the end of the seventh inning, Meisei scores its first run, offering a glimmer of hope for the team.

In the final innings, however, Kenjo's batters begin making more contact with Touma's pitches. They seem to have grown accustomed to his pitching patterns and rhythm, even suspecting that they're receiving help from Meisei's catcher, who may be tipping them off about upcoming pitches. Despite these challenges, Touma manages to keep Kenjo at bay, allowing no runs over five and a half innings while conceding only one hit and one walk.
