On July 8, 2026, the second season of the anime adaptation "Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs" (abbreviated as "Mobu Seka 2") begins. Just in time for the series premiere, the plot and first scene images for the first episode have been released.

The episode is titled "Love Saves the World, Doesn't It?" and picks up directly after the events of the first season. Protagonist Leon Fou Bartfort has worked his way up to Viscount through numerous heroic deeds and longs for nothing more than a peaceful everyday life. However, his acquired treasures are confiscated by the temple, and he is drafted into the elite unit of the Saint's Guard – the exact opposite of what he had hoped for. Instead of peace, new entanglements await him.

Behind the production is once again Studio ENGI. The director is Kazuya Miura, series composition is handled by Kenta Ihara, and character design comes from Masahiko Suzuki. The main roles are voiced by Gakuto Ootsuka (Leon), Kana Ichinose (Olivia), and Fairouz Ai (Angelica). Akira Ishida as Luxion, Ayane Sakura as Marie, as well as Kenichi Suzumura, Kousuke Toriumi, and other regular voice actors also return.

The opening song "人生エンドロール" ("Jinsei Endroll") is by Ando, while the ending song "あしたはあしたのけせらせら!" ("Tomorrow is Tomorrow – Let It Happen!") is performed by an as-yet-unnamed artist.

The first episode will air on July 8 at 11:30 PM (JST) on AT-X, followed by TOKYO MX and BS Nippon Television. Starting at 12:30 AM the following day, the episode will be available via simulcast on ABEMA and d Anime Store. On July 2, a countdown special featuring the voice actors was also broadcast to set the stage for the new season.

The light novel series by Yomu Mishima, which serves as the source material, concluded with the 13th volume in March 2024. The second season of the anime continues the story, in which Leon must assert himself amidst the increasingly tangled political intrigues of the Kingdom of Holfort.
