The anime adaptation of "MONSTERS," based on a work by Eiichiro Oda, has been airing since today, January 22. Kazuya Nakai, known for his role as Roronoa Zoro in "ONE PIECE," plays the lead role in the new series.

In "MONSTERS," Nakai appears in a dual role as the narrator and as a dragon. The anime is a reinterpretation of a short story written by the 19-year-old Oda before the publication of "ONE PIECE." The direction and music are by Park Seong-Ho, the character design by Takashi Kojima, and the production by E&H Production.

The series is being broadcast in Japan by Netflix and Prime Video. It tells the story of the young samurai Ryuuma, played by Yoshimasa Hosoya, who is in search of the "soul of a warrior." Over the course of the story, Ryuuma encounters Flare, a survivor from a town attacked by a dragon, played by Kana Hanazawa, and Cyrano, a top-class swordsman searching for a stolen dragon horn, played by Hiroki Tochi.
