The story is set in Most City, located in an unspecified country. It revolves around Tarō, a charming editor-in-chief, Jirō, his 10-year-old assistant, and Saburō, a dog. Together, they run a small publishing house that produces a magazine called Monthly Mōsō Science, which deals with strange and unexplained paranormal events. The story takes a fascinating turn when a scientist named Gorō visits the editorial office and plunges everyone into an inexplicable situation.

As for the main cast, Takahide Ishii will voice Tarō J. Suzuki, Kazutomi Yamamoto will portray Jirō Tanaka, Yusuke Shirai will voice Saburō, and Shunichi Toki will play the role of Gorō Satō.

Ichigo Umatani is responsible for the original story, while Chizuru Miyawaki not only handles the primary character designs but also serves as the director. Hiroko Kanasugi is in charge of the series' scripts, and Akane Hirota designs the animation-related character designs.
