In its April Issue of the year, Monthly Shonen Magazine of Kodansha has publicized the main cast of the anime Welcome to the Ballroom anime adaptation from Tomo Takeuchi. The cast according to official news Nobuhiko Okamoto as Kiyoharu Hyodo, Shimba Tsuchiya as Tatara Fujita, Ayane Sakura as Shizuku Hanaoka, and Toshiyuki Morikawa as Kaname Sengoku.
They also informed that the next trailer of the anime will be published on 22 March. They also had revealed that the trailer will feature a partnership with band Unison Square Garden. The animation series is directing by Yoshimi Itazu at Production I.G. The series composition is handling by Kenichi Suemitsu, and Yuuki Hayashi is the music composer of the anime series. Takahiro Kishida is designing the characters of the animation series.

The story focuses on a high school boy Tatara Fujita; he always wants to be good at something. But he is an average teenage guy who is dreaming beyond its ability. There are some bullies in his high school who always making fun of him regarding his dream. His life gets changed when Sengoku sends them packing. Sengoku is a seasoned ballroom dancer and also invites Tatara Fujita to join ballroom dancing. When Fujita puts his leg in the world of ballroom dancing his life gets completely changed.
The series was released in Monthly Shonen Magazine in 2011 by Takeuchi. The eighth compiled volume of the animation was released by Kodansha in October 2015. The series is nominated for Manga Taisho awards. In 2013, it was also ranked in guidebook’s list of best manga.
