Kyoto Animation's KA Esuma Bunko imprint has announced a new novel by renowned author Shoji Gatoh titled "MOON FIGHTERS!", set to be released this fall.
Shoji Gatoh, best known for his work on light novel series such as "Full Metal Panic!" and "Amagi Brilliant Park", returns to the literary stage with "MOON FIGHTERS!".
"Full Metal Panic!", one of Gatoh's earlier works, has achieved remarkable popularity since its debut in 1998. With over 11 million copies sold, it has reached a significant milestone. The series, which concluded in 2010, spawned numerous adaptations, including TV anime series and a light novel spinoff.
Gatoh will also release a commemorative sequel story for the 25th anniversary of the "Full Metal Panic!" light novel series. This story will give readers a glimpse into the domestic lives of the main characters, SÅsuke and Chidori, several decades after the climax of the main story. The first chapter is scheduled to be published in July in Kadokawa's Dragon Magazine.
