The 11th issue of this year's Weekly Shounen Magazine announced on Wednesday a second anime season for Hiro Mashima's manga Edens Zero. The sci-fi adventure was broadcast from April to October last year in 25 episodes. Netflix streamed the first season with subtitles and dubs in multiple languages.

Kodansha USA publishes the manga in English and describes the story as follows:

In Granbell Kingdom, an abandoned amusement park, Shiki has spent his entire life among machines. But one day, Rebecca and her cat companion Happy appear at the park's entrance gate. What the two newcomers don't know is that this is the first human contact in Granbell in a hundred years! As Shiki stumbles his way into new friendships, his former neighbors see an opportunity for a robot uprising... And when his old home becomes too dangerous, Shiki must join Rebecca and Happy on their spaceship and escape into the boundless cosmos.

Further details have not yet been announced.
