In Episode 10 of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2, the episode begins with Rudeus reflecting on his daily life at Ranoa University of Magic. He starts his day with a workout, attends classes, and has lunch with his friends. Additionally, he assists Nanahoshi with her summoning experiments, which aim to bring someone from his original world. Rudeus receives a letter from Soldier Heckler, an old acquaintance, who invites him to a meal. They meet and talk about past adventures and their current lives. The soldier has to leave for another meeting, and Rudeus returns to school.

Rudeus encounters Fitz, also known as Sylphie, who stands guard for Princess Ariel. Fitz does not speak during his duty, leading to a misunderstanding that leaves Rudeus hurt. Later, they clear up the misunderstanding, and Fitz explains that he remains silent during duty to maintain a professional demeanor.

Rudeus then seeks out Vice-Director Jenius to inquire about Fitz's gender, as he has developed feelings for him. Jenius confirms that Fitz is male but seems unwilling to divulge further information.

The episode ends with Rudeus realizing that his feelings for Fitz are romantic.
