Nakajima decided to take on the task of writing the theme song after reading Okada's script. Initially hesitant due to her limited knowledge of anime and games, she was ultimately convinced by the emotional depth of the screenplay. The single for the theme song is scheduled for release on September 13.

The film will debut on September 15. The story revolves around 14-year-old Masamune Kikuiri, voiced by Junya Enoki. Reina Ueda voices Masamune's classmate Atsumi Sagami, and Misaki Kuno will play the role of the enigmatic girl Itsumi.

The film is set in a town frozen in time after a catastrophic explosion at a local steelworks. The residents are advised not to change as they endure their bleak daily lives. Masamune's mysterious classmate Atsumi leads him into the eerie surroundings of the steelworks' fifth blast furnace, where they encounter a silent, feral girl resembling a wolf. This meeting throws the world off balance and ignites an "unstoppable impulse of love" among the town's youth, beginning to unravel the fabric of their world.

Mari Okada is not only the writer but also the director of the film. She has also authored a novel adaptation of the film, which was published by Kadokawa Bunko on June 13 of this year.
