Monthly Action magazine of Futabasha had announced its June issue of this year. In this issue, they had revealed that the well-known manga My Brother’s Husband will be ended on 25th May in the next issue of the magazine. This is the manga of Gengoroh Tagame, and it will have a colour opening page for its last edition.
The manga was released by Pantheon Books. The story of the manga according to a news website: This is a family drama manga; the story of the manga revolves around Mike, a Canadian. He learns the real meaning of the family in the manga story. The manga creator highlights the importance and meaning of the family through its manga.
In November 2014, Tagame started serialising the manga in Monthly Action magazine. The third compiled volume of the manga was published by Futabasha in October. The English version of the manga will be shipped by Pantheon Books in June. In 44th annual Angouleme International Comics Festival, the manga was nominated for best comic. In 2015, the manga was also awarded as an excellent manga in Japan Media Arts Festival awards.
