The twelfth episode of "My Happy Marriage" begins with Kiyoka wandering through a ghostly forest teeming with nightmarish creatures full of grotesqueries. At the same time, Miyo is seen in another location, guided by Arata through the Dream-Sight procedure. Miyo commits herself to rescuing Kiyoka from his dangerous situation using her Dream-Sight abilities.

As Kiyoka battles grotesques, Miyo lands in front of the Saimori house. Miyo calls out Kiyoka's name, which he hears amidst his struggle. Inside the house, a young girl resembling a younger version of Miyo lures her to a door that looks like one from her past.

Kiyoka fights desperately, longing to apologize to Miyo for past wrongs. Meanwhile, Miyo is confronted by a version of herself that questions whether she is worthy of Kiyoka. Though she acknowledges her shortcomings, Miyo decides she deserves to stand by Kiyoka's side, much to the dismay of her alternate self.

After confronting her alternate self, Miyo takes hold of Kiyoka's Kumihimo cord. She then finds her way to Kiyoka's location and dispatches a group of grotesques threatening him. Meanwhile, the Japanese Emperor Mikado discusses the necessity of eradicating the Kudo family and amplifies the power of the grotesques—though to no avail against Miyo.

The gloomy forest brightens, and Kiyoka praises Miyo for her protective efforts. The two confess their shared desire to be together and awaken from their dream state, much to the joy of their friends. Arata departs, informing Miyo that his role there is complete, while Kiyoka hints at a future duel with him.

Elsewhere, Prince Takaihito Ookai reveals that Mikado has lost his revelation abilities and must atone for opening the grave. Back at home, Miyo and Kiyoka enjoy peaceful days together, finally free from nightmares and filled with small yet meaningful conversations.

The episode ends with the two attending a party, where Kiyoka proposes to Miyo. When asked if he would regret it, Kiyoka firmly says no. The two reaffirm their marriage plans as they ascend a staircase, marking the end of the season.

A second season, as reported, has already been announced.
